Privacy Policy

Brace Space (“the app”, “we”) helps you document an orthodontic journey (braces, aligners, retainers): progress photos, treatment phases, appointments, memos and milestones. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Brace Space is a free app and we do not sell your data or show ads.

What we collect

Account information (stored on our authentication provider, Supabase):

• Email address (required to create an account and sign in)
• Optionally, your name (if you choose Google sign-in, your Google account name and email)

Information you enter in the app (stored locally on your device):

• Birth year (optional)
• Treatment details: type, title, dates, goals
• Appointments, memos, and treatment events
• Progress photos and any notes you attach to them

We do NOT collect: payment information (the app is free), location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

Where your data lives

• Your account email (and Google profile basics if you use Google sign-in) is held by Supabase, our authentication provider.
• All journey data and photos stay on your device in local storage. They are not uploaded to our servers.
• Transactional emails (password reset and one-time codes) are sent through our email provider (custom SMTP configured in Supabase).

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To send account emails you request (password reset, verification codes).
• To run the app’s features on your device (timeline, reminders, photo gallery). Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we do not send push messages.
• Optional device calendar: if you add an appointment to your calendar, the app writes that event to your device calendar with your permission. We do not read your calendar.

Third parties

• Supabase (authentication and account email): see Supabase’s privacy terms.
• Google (only if you choose Google sign-in): standard OAuth; we receive your email and name.

We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.

Your choices and rights

• You can stop using the app and delete your locally stored data by uninstalling it (this removes journey data and photos from the device).
• To delete your account and the email we hold, contact us at hello@brace-space.com and we will remove it.
• You may request a copy of the account information we hold by contacting us.

Children

Brace Space is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Account credentials are handled by Supabase. Journey data and photos remain on your device. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
